Just learned of your podcasts recently, and have been jumping around listening to you guys discuss some of my favorite stories — Eye for A Eye, Computo, even the Super Stalag of Outer Space. Just listened to the final installment of the Great Darkness Saga — the issue that brought me back to the Legion. Can’t wait for you guys to get to the Bates/Cockrum era — the point at which I was introduced to the Legion!

I started reading the Legion just after Saturn Girl started wearing the pink bikini. So to me, that was always her costume until it changed on the asteroid. As for why a telepath wore it, I think she enjoyed the unvocalized frustration it caused in the other legionnaires

This one reminds me of another time when Luornu was sent on a mission, Adventure 325. That time she was sent to Khann – a whole planet inhabited by the criminal outcasts of hundred of worlds.

But that time was much better. She was accompanied by Matter-Eater Lad!

I’m a few weeks behind in my listening, but the issue you are after is Static 14 from the milestone years – a Superman crossover called “Wprld’s Apart”. It features “Static Lad” and “Rocket Gal” of the “League of Super-Teens”.
